WARNING! This episode of the After Movie Diner contains a description of 'A Serbian Film' which contains language and descriptions of images that some may find offensive but it's all done with a sense of humour I assure you.

So ever wanted to know what it would be like if Gary Busey hosted the Oscars?

This year we here in the Diner took one look at the real Oscar noms and, quite frankly, were underwhelmed, not that 2011 was a great year for cinema or anything but certain films we thought deserved a mention were bi-passed in favour of sentimental-tosh-balls like War Horse.

In an effort to right this wrong I put an announcement out on the website demanding people send us their picks and nominations for an alternative Oscar show.

NOW along with the tremendously special guests, members of TEAM DUCK BOOBS and all round motley group of Paul Crowson, Andrew Buckley and Christopher Morris
(with surprise appearance by Moe Porne from Drunk on VHS)
we sift through the responses, discuss and dissect the films then ultimately pick the winners!!

We're doing something a bit different this week and the whole show is dedicated to an interview (and general chat) I had with actor, producer, founder/CEO of tremendously brilliant website AwesomeBMovies.com, father, husband, friend and all round wonderful human being Mr Matthew Dowling.

We talked enough to package these interviews like the Encyclopedia Britannica but instead I found it fascinating to boil this down to Matt's story.
His journey from Philly boy to Hollywood fringe player with many an on set story to tell to Internet mogul!

It's fun, informative, educational and very interesting. I'd like to say a big thanks to Matt for being on the show and sharing his stories with us so candidly.

Words can not describe how honoured and over-joyed I was to be a part of Drunk on VHS's Halloween episode, get to wax rhapsodic with Lord Boshington III and curse up a storm as we discuss three of the most horrifying and scary films of all time.

As an iconic Hollywood actor, Ford reigned supreme throughout the end of the 70s and the 80s playing two fallable hero roles that will last the ages and also carving himself a niche as a diverse leading man in a series of interesting choices.

Lately though, over the last decade, while the choices have remained varied, the quality of both the films and the performances have dropped off. Why? Are there no good scripts for him or has he given up?

We look at his latest offering Cowboys and Aliens, the Indiana Jones films, Morning Glory and dip in and out of the rest of his catalogue.

Do we finally come up with a satisfactory answer to the Ford conundrum, well you'll have to listen to find out!
